Aizaz Vardag, MD
August 1962 - July 2006
Dr. Vardag was my personal physician as well as my first client. Among many other things, she has been a great
friend who always had time to be there and listen. She is going to be greatly missed by many, many residents of Breckenridge
and the surrounding community.

Below is a clip from the Breckenridge American's July 11, 2006 edition about Dr. Vardag's background and
accomplishments during her life.
"A native of Pakistan, she was the chief resident in the Primary Care Program of Mount Sinai Medical Services at Elmhurst
Hospital in New York City before she opened her practice in Breckenridge. She was at Mount Sinai from 1995 through 1998. Before
that, she was a teaching assistant at Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan. She also was on the house staff in the Department
of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Holy Family Hospital in Pakistan. Vardag recently closed her Breckenridge office reportedly
to be able to care for a family member in Austin. Vardag was known in Breckenridge for the care she demonstrated to her patients,
often checking on them in the hospital late in the evening."
